The Synclavier has long been revered in the world of music and film soundtracks, and now it has made its way to iOS with the Synclavier Go! app. This vintage synthesizer stays true to its roots, incorporating much of the core DSP code from the original hardware and maintaining its iconic red-button interface. But don't mistake it for a relic of the past – this synth is fully compatible with modern features like MPE, Ableton Link, Audiobus 3, and MIDI.

With the Synclavier Go! app, you'll have access to a powerful DSP Engine that offers 12 Partial Timbres, Timbre Frames, Samples, FM-Synthesis, and Additive-Synthesis methodologies. This means you can create a wide range of sounds, from rich string tones and Moog-esque drones to Prophet-like pads and Roland 808 style drum hits. For sound designers and synthesists alike, it's a dream come true.

In addition to its authentic sound and powerful engine, Synclavier Go! boasts a ton of added features. It now supports MPE compatibility for expressive playing, seven timbre "quick-change" character buttons for instant sound sculpting, and a 16-track mixing console. Plus, you'll have access to Artist Preset Libraries created by renowned sound designers. With all these enhancements, the Synclavier Go! app has transformed from a versatile instrument to a powerhouse synth.

Version 1.30 of Synclavier Go! introduces even more updates and improvements. It is compatible with iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch devices running iOS 9 or later. The app features a faithful re-creation of the original 96-button VPK interface, as well as AUv3 client compatibility for use within iOS DAWs. With 16 original "Factory Preset Libraries," including 979 timbres, and 3 "Artist Libraries" containing 127 all-new timbres, you'll never run out of sonic possibilities.

The Synclavier Go! app also offers convenient features like sample playback, pitch-shifting, looping, and keyboard mapping. You can easily share and back up your timbres and mixes using iCloud and iTunes file sharing. The app fully supports MPE interfaces and is Ableton Link compatible for seamless synchronization. And with the embedded "Tour" pages and a library browser for saving and recalling timbres, navigating the app is a breeze.

Parental notes: Synclavier Go! is not just a historic and authentic tool but also an educational one. It provides a fun and informative environment for teenagers to explore the technical aspects of sound and sound design. So whether you're a seasoned musician or just starting out, Synclavier Go! is sure to inspire your creativity.
